Jiří Kocián has been the coordinator of the Malach Visual History Centre since 2016. He graduated in area studies with a focus on Central-East and Southeast Europe at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. His research activities at CVHM are mainly devoted to the history of Jews in Central-East and Southeast Europe, the construction of identity narratives, and their social and political reflection. At the same time, in the field of Digital Humanities, he deals with the issues of development and implementation of software tools for social science research. Contact: |

Mgr. Tereza Juhászová

Tereza Juhászová has been the coordinator of the Malach Center for Visual History since 2023. She graduated in Balkan, Eurasian, and Central European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. She currently works as a lecturer in the modern history of Central and Southeastern Europe in the same department. She is also a PhD candidate in Modern History at the Universität Regensburg and the FSV UK. At the Malach Center for Visual History, her research focuses primarily on the history of marginalized groups in Central Europe. She studies local national and religious minorities and the process of constructing collective identities. She also works on urban history. Contact:

PhDr. Karin Hofmeisterová, Ph.D. |

Karin Hofmeister has been the coordinator of the Malach Center for Visual History since 2020. In 2022, she also received a Claims Conference grant and is a lecturer in Holocaust Studies at Charles University. She completed her Ph.D. in International Area Studies with a focus on Eastern and Southeastern Europe at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. Her research activities at CVHM are mainly related to the history of Jews in Southeastern Europe, the construction of historical narratives, collective identities, and communities of memory. She works on acquiring and processing new oral history collections related to the Western Balkans region. Contact: |

PhDr. Petra Hoffmannová |

Petra Hoffmannová has been with the Malach Visual History Center since its beginnings in 2010 as a consultant and coordinator. She is a graduate of Information Studies and Librarianship at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University. As part of her work at the Centre, she focuses on the data and functionality structure of visual history archives and, in the field of Digital Humanities, on the implementation of computational linguistics tools in development and research. At the same time, she focuses on developing multimodal educational youth programmes. Contact: |

PhDr. Jakub Mlynář, Ph.D. |

Jakub Mlynář was the coordinator of the Malach Centre for Visual History from its opening in 2010 until 2022. He is currently based at the University of Basel. He continues to work closely with the CVHM. His research focuses on the construction and maintenance of collective and individual identities, the analysis of interviews in terms of their internal structure and the interaction of their participants, and the implementation of sociological research in the field of Digital Humanities. |
