Jakub Mlynář

 

Jakub Mlynář has been coordinator of the Malach Visual History Center since it opened in 2010. He recieved Ph.D. in sociology from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University.

In his research at the Malach Centre, he is primarily concerned with the coustruction and dynamics of collective and individual identities, the analysis of conversations in terms of their internal structure and the interaction of their participants, and the implementation of sociological research in the field of Digital Humanities.

Jiří Kocián

 

Jiří Kocián has been coordinator of the Malach Visual History Centre since 2016. He graduated in area studies with focus on Eastern and Southeastern Europe at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University.

His research activities at CVHM are mainly devoted to the history of Jews in Middle Eastern and South Eastern Europe, the construction of identity narratives and their social and political reflection. At the same time, in the field of Digital Humanities, he deals with the issues of development and implementation of software tools for social science research.

Petra Hoffmannová

 

Petra Hoffmannová has been with the Malach Visual History Center since its beginnings in 2010 as a consultant and coordinator. She is a graduate of Information Studies and Librarianship at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University.

As part of her work at the Centre, she focuses on the data and functionality structure of visual history archives and, in the field of Digital Humanities, on the implementation of computational linguistics tools in development and research. At the same time, she focuses on developing multimodal educational youth programmes.
