On the Origin of Text Linguistics and the Interface of the Text Level with Morphology

 

This talk will first offer a personal perspective of the origin and development of text linguistics, will then discuss its relation to discourse analysis and pragmatics and finally deal with the interface between the text level and morphology. This will allow proposals on corpus-linguistic codings useful for automatic text-linguistic search in electronic text corpora.
