Main Research Interests

My current research focuses on word formation processes through the lens of paradigm morphology and formal linguistics, under the supervision of doc. Mgr. Magda Ševčíková, Ph.D. I am investigating inflectional morphology in verbs and nouns, examining how paradigmatic relationships shape morphological systems across languages.

My research interests encompass Universal Dependencies treebanks, where I have contributed to the development and enrichment of linguistic resources with morphosyntactic and multiword expression annotations for Greek. I work on machine translation with particular attention to gender representation and bias in MT systems, exploring the broader implications of AI technologies for translation practices. Additional areas of interest include coreference resolution, cross-linguistic word formation processes, and the development of NLP tools and benchmarks, with a special focus on Greek natural language processing and the computational challenges of morphologically rich languages.

Contributor of Stanza model for Greek (el) : Stanza is a collection of accurate and efficient tools for the linguistic analysis of many human languages.
