Faculty Building
The venue of MT Marathon 2024 (the Computer Science School building, see the left-hand picture below - on the horizon, the Prague Castle (Hradčany) can be seen as well) is in the center of Prague, in the Lesser Town. The building itself has been built in today's shape in the 17th century, and it served as a jesuit monastery. It has a rectangular shape with a small yard in the middle; three wings now belong to the University, and the fourth to the (roman-catholic) church, and in fact it is the largest baroque church in Prague (the right-hand picture).

By Plane
To get from the Václav Havel Airport Prague (Ruzyně) to the conference venue:
Use public transport
The preferred route from the airport to the venue is the following:

- Then take metro A (direction Depo Hostivař) to the station Malostranská.
- Then take tram 12, 15, 20, 22, or 23 (any except 2 and 18). Go one stop to Malostranské náměstí.
The journey takes about 37 minutes in total, the fare is CZK 40. You can view the journey on Google Maps along with other options. Note that special, higher fare applies on the Airport Express bus line that connects the main train station directly. More information about public transport in Prague can be found on Prague Public Transport company and in its official app PID Lítačka.
On-demand taxi
Bolt and Uber on-demand transport services operate in Prague, including the airport, and are suitable options. Be cautious when using other taxis. The fare should not go over CZK 500. Taxi drivers should always issue a receipt. Ask the driver about the cost and paying options beforehand. For travelling from the airport, you can use the official taxi service.
By Train or Bus
Taking the train is a convenient option when travelling, e.g., from Berlin or Vienna. All long-distance trains arrive at the main railway station (Hlavní nádraží). Trains arriving from Berlin/Dresden stop at Praha-Holešovice station, too. Most long-distance buses arrive at the Florenc bus station.
