About the Meeting

The PIRE project (Investigation of Meaning Representations in Language Understanding for Speech Reconstruction and Machine Translation Systems) meeting is the sixth in the row of meetings where U.S. and European students meet, sometimes combined with other events, such as the Prague VMC school in 2008 or the IRTG workshop in Germany in June 2009.

This time, the meeting venue is at the Uppsala University due to the ACL 2010 conference, where many students engaged in PIRE present the results of their work, and thus it was a good opportunity to organize a small meeting there as well.

The meeting takes place in the historic building of the University of Uppsala, in the faculty offices of the School of Arts.
