I am currently a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics at Charles University in Prague. I am funded through the CLARA (Common Language Resources and their Applications) EU project. I am concurrently pursuing a PhD in Computational Linguistics. My undergraduate degree was completed at NCSU in 2003. I completed my masters degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University in Washington DC while working for the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2006. Before coming to Charles University in Prague, I spent a year in Iceland on a Fulbright Fellowship and continued my research at NCSU. My research interests are in Machine Learning, Dependency Parsing, Collaborative Social Networks, and Computational Linguistics, specifically dealing with under-resourced languages and corpus construction.
