The European Masters Program in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) is designed to meet the demands of industry and research in a rapidly growing area. It offers education and training opportunities for the next generations of leaders in research and innovation. It provides students with profound knowledge and insight into the various disciplines that contribute to the methods of language and communication technologies, and it strengthens their ability to work according to scientific methods. Moreover, the students acquire practice-oriented knowledge by choosing appropriate combinations of modules in Language Technology, Computational and Theoretical Linguistics, and Computer Science.
The program involves studying one year at one of the participating universities (see below), and completing the second year with a stay in the other partner university. After this, the student will obtain two Master of Science degrees with legal value in the countries of issue.
Students may apply for the Erasmus Mundus scholarships through the Erasmus Mundus Masters in LCT.

Summary of the study program
LCT consists of Core Modules and Advanced Modules in Language Technology (LT) and Computer Science (CS), complemented by a Project and Masters thesis. The Advanced Modules are based on the specific strength at research and teaching of the partner institutions.
The program offers a unique opportunity to students from all over the world to spend two years at two well-established European universities (one year each) and to obtain two already approved Master of Science/Arts degrees with full legal value.
The program ensures that all students receive a common education that covers the core topics in LCT but their specific scientific profile is shaped by the pair of universities that they choose for the first and second year of their studies.
